Here is just a reminder of how to keep your environment clean and COVID-19 free:
❗️First, it is important that you need to CLEAN before attempting DISINFECTION.

Cleaning REMOVES gems and dirt when DISINFECTION kills gems.

🔹Wear disposable gloves, ALWAYS!
⠀
🔹Clean surfaces, especially highly touchable using a detergent or soap and water.
⠀
For hard surfaces:

🔹Use disinfectant from the local store, disinfection wipes or homage disinfectant
⠀
❗️DIY disinfectant: 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water OR 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water:❗️
⠀
🔹Diluted household bleach solutions (at least 1000ppm sodium hypochlorite) can be used if appropriate for the surface. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application, ensuring a contact time of at least 1 minute, and allowing proper ventilation during and after application. Check to ensure the product is not past its expiration date.

❗️NEVER MIX HOUSEHOLD BLEACH WITH AMMONIA OR OTHER CLEANING SOLUTIONS❗️

🔹If none of the options mentioned above are suitable for you, use soap + water + scrubbing more thoroughly and frequently. It will significantly help to keep your environment clean.

For soft (porous) surfaces:

🔹Remove visible contamination and clean with appropriate cleaners.
⠀
🔹Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest water setting for the items and dry items completely.

🏻And don’t forget to wash + moisturize your hands and ventilate your home with fresh air regularly!
